So, I’m back to using Zune
For now at least. Its just, since they changed the new software so that you get to keep 10 songs in addition to all the downloads every month. That way, if my math is correct, you are only paying $5 additional for all the downloads you want, though you don’t own them. Thats pretty cool.
It has been a long time
School has been crazy, and stuff. So yea. I started a WordPress MU site, at radteknowlogy.com
HP Mini 1000 Series (1 Day)
So, yesterday I bought an HP Mini 1000 series notebook netbook. I have had some time to play around with everything, get used to the stuff, and install my essential internet software. ( and then some).
Specs: Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz x2. 1 GB of ram (soon to be bumped to two). 60GB HDD (No,I didn’t go with the solid stated because I didn’t feal like limiting the usage. And, also, I want to dual boot it with HP MIE). 10.1 ” screen.
Pros: I like the keyboard… alot. I have no problem typing on it what so ever, and I usually do complain about keyboaords. I have an HP DV9000 and, while that one does have a numeric pad, the space between the Q and the P is nearly the same, about a quarter of an inch different. The GPU, the Intel 950 is actually decently powerful (which surprised me) for this type of computer. It can run some basic games, like warcraft and starcraf with everything on full, and you can get away with internet game no problem. Overall, it surfs the internet at break neck speeds, when you install firefox of course. Mine does not have Bluetooth (something I feel is completely useless in computers) or a 3G card slot. (something I wish i had, kinda, but then again, leaves more room for change(3.5-4G)).
Cons: The single core Intel Atom performs at about half that of the Intel Celeron. Mine has the new Dual Core Atom, and I have had little problems. I mean, what do you expect from a 2W processor, right. I have had very fiew incedences where I run into bottle neck(though when I do, I think it is mainly the Hard Drive.) But I will say this, IT DOES PERFORM BETTER THAN I EXPECTED IT TO.
I will write updates like this one at a one week mark, two week, three, and month, hopefully.
Maybe I was harsh with Asus
They just really are pissing me off. I get a new M3A78-T motherboard for my computer. It works good for a little while, and then it goes out. I send it to asus, they send it back and changed nothing. It took them three weeks to get this far. Then, I call them, they decide to have me send it back to them again. The first time shipping cost me thirty bucks. They want me to pay the shipping costs again, so I complain.
They email me a prepaid label, all works well, and its been there again for the last week and hasn’t even register on their website as having been received by them.
Asus; the cheapest brand money can buy
Ahh, how I HATE asus. I am on my second motherboard from them, the second being the replacement of the first that went out after a month. The second one I can’t even get to boot once; it is DOA.

AT&T Subscribers, Do you have a Mac?
It turns out that here in Southern California if you have had AT&T installed or changed subscriptions within the last year or two, then you should have this problem. It turns out that you need to go in through your Mac’s system preferences and changed the DNS settings. This can be found in System Pref> Network> DNS (tab at the top) and then you just add two DNS servers to the list. Here they are:
68.94.156.1
68.94.157.1
This has easily doubled the speed that I get on my mac connected to AT&T U-Verse.
My Review: Fable 2
I have been playing fable 2 for a couple of weeks now, and have to say that it is probably one of the most intuitive and created games I have ever played. The scenes are beautiful, pre- or on-the-spot rendered, the controls, though could allow for some more freedom and advanced moves, are easy to pick up and only complicated to master. The story line is the best I have ever seen. It is like reading a great novel, something that I would consider on the lines of Lord of the Rings. (Not that the stories are really that similar.) But, they both have the same depth story but the game has even one more plus: changeability.
The game has the ability to change almost completely depending on minute choices that you make. The two biggest “paths” that you can take, good or evil, give the game an immense level of replay value. But, creating an even more complex map of how to achieve that good, evil, or something in between, means that the game would be nearly, if not completely, impossible to repeat step for step exactly the same.
Overall, I would play Fable 2, or even Fable 1, more if they would come out with a version on my mac. Oh well.
It has been a while
Over the last month or… six that I haven’t kept up on this blog has been dedicated to my anger with computer. I have gone through several different issues and problems with my computerS. I think I am officially a mac guy.
It has been a while
But, what I have a comment on is the whole Steve Jobs thing. I am split between anger and concern. I am concerned for his health, and angered that idiots sold their stock in apple, making my stock go lower.
